  • House Bill 1, signed into law by Governor DeSantis, amplifies scholarship opportunities for parents interested in private education and took effect on July 1, 2023. Wellington Collegiate Academy accepts both the Family Empowerment Scholarships (FES-EO) and the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC). This law eliminates the income restrictions on the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO) and Florida Tax Credit (FTC) scholarships, making all children of Florida residents who are eligible to attend public school in grades K-12 eligible for a scholarship.

Who qualifies for Florida school-choice scholarships at Wellington Collegiate Academy?

Because Florida’s House Bill 1 (effective July 1, 2023) removed the income restrictions on the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO) and the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC), every child of a Florida resident who is eligible to attend a K–12 public school can qualify. WCA accepts both FES-EO and FTC scholarships.

Which scholarship providers does WCA accept?

Wellington Collegiate Academy accepts both the Family Empowerment Scholarships (FES-EO) and the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC). Apply through Step Up for Students, the AAA Scholarship Foundation or the Florida Department of Education.
