Academics
From a first classroom at age three to a four-day high school schedule, students grow through divisions built for each stage of childhood.
A joyful first classroom for three- and four-year-olds, building early literacy, numbers, and social skills through play and discovery.
Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Students learn to read fluently and write clearly, take up cursive handwriting, and begin Spanish from the very start.
3rd through 5th grade. Novels, research writing, fractions through early algebra, and hands-on science — with multiple teachers and rotating classrooms beginning in 3rd grade.
6th through 8th grade. A departmentalized schedule students are already used to, plus the study habits, time management, and ownership that high school demands.
Currently 9th grade, with more to come. Academics run Monday through Thursday; Fridays are for career exploration with professionals in law, finance, healthcare, and engineering.
How We Teach
Our foundation is Abeka, a faith-based curriculum committed to high academic standards. It asks students to master foundational concepts before moving on — an approach that often carries them past their grade level, particularly in math and reading. The transition can be demanding at first; students who persevere consistently outperform their public-school peers on standardized tests.
Alongside it we use IXL, which adapts in real time to each student’s work and generates personalized skill recommendations. Every student gets their own login for Arithmetic and Language Arts.
Small class sizes are what make both work — each student gets the focused support they need.
Explore academics →Beyond the Classroom
Science, technology, engineering, and math come alive through building, experimenting, and problem-solving — not just textbooks.
A new program expanding how WCA personalizes instruction and challenges every learner.
We don’t do ordinary field trips — our Educational Trips extend the classroom into the real world throughout the school year.
On-campus aftercare gives working families a safe, supervised place for students when the school day ends.
Character
The virtues on our crest are our core values, instilled from a student’s very first day.
Fair treatment for everyone, every day.
Sound judgment, not just right answers.
Discipline and moderation in everyday choices.
The will to try, and to keep trying.
